Despite its small size, Lebanon has been one of the most influential of the Arab Countries. Lebanon was not a part of the Hague Convention so any document going in or out of the Lebanon will not recognize an apostille.
A document issued in Lebanon has to be translated, if required, and attested by the competent authorities first, before submitting the documents to the UAE Embassy’s degree, diploma, marriage or birth certificate, etc. first needs to be ratified by the concerned local authorities in Lebanon, super legalized by the UAE Embassy in Beirut and in the end, by Ministry of Foreign Affairs in UAE.
The process in Beirut remains complicated with regards to the documents to be submitted and the attestations to be done if one undertakes to do it on their own.
